“It’s been a long and, in the true sense of the word, epic journey creating this new album. After a year of working out parts on the road, recording demos on the bus, living in a cabin that we turned into a studio for months at a time, writing while we were overseas in Europe, and not to mention the 3 months that we spent recording the album in New Jersey, we have literally poured every bit of our collective lives into this record and we cannot wait any longer to show it to you!” said vocalist Vic Fuentes of the album. New Single “Obliviate” By That’s Outrageous!

Earlier this month we opened up discussion on the benefits and drawbacks of “offensive” band merch. There was a lot of great discussion among our readers, and we began reaching out to bands known for their provocative merch for comments on the issue.
Here’s the second, from Frankie Palmeri of Emmure (center). The first, from Ben Bruce of Asking Alexandria, can be read here. Let us know what you think in the comments.
“Offensive merch is in the eye of the beholder. I think we have successfully made some pieces of merchandise that have turned heads, and maybe even gave people a few laughs. It’s just another part of the entertainment industry and especially when you are floating in a sea of what seems to be endless like-minded and competitive artists, you have to take risks and do things that will stand out. The merchandising world for bands on the road is a pretty cutthroat thing. Every sale counts and Emmure has always have done what it takes to entertain our fans new and old with interesting designs. We are lucky to have a team of people who work directly with us in making cohesive and relative designs that match our music.”
